However, experiencing "immersive" 3D experience is still cumbersome. The use of equipments needed to create this immersive 3D experience often proves to be quite a hindrance. In this project, we will be investigating the technical developments in this field till date, to identify the requirements for immersive 3D experience. We will also be expanding the use of an existing method called Tour into the Picture. This method allows the user to easily create a 3D model scene based on a single image input. Research and experimentation was carried out to capture the motion of the user using the Microsoft Kinect Sensor and integrating it with the Tour into the Picture application. Skeletal tracking will be used to control the program, thus, providing a hands-free and better 3D immersive experience, in a desktop environment. An analysis of the experimental results obtained from the method will be performed to study the ease of controlling the application through the Kinect Sensor.
