Surface roughness and edge chipping in micro-ultrasonic machining

Micro-ultrasonic machining (micro-USM) is one of the efficient material removal processes for processing of hard and brittle work materials. The removal of material is achieved by the penetration of abrasive particles on the workpiece using ultrasonic vibration.
