This was revealed when a focus group was conducted. The other various challenges encountered during lessons and internships were highlighted as well. Therefore, in order to solve these problems and make learning more effective, we decided to come up with a well-designed video aid to complement the lessons. Based on the focus group results and several key principles, which would make multimedia aid effective, we designed and produced an instructional video guide teaching the fundamentals of acupuncture. It contained step-by-step demonstrations and diagrams to aid in visualization. It was also produced in English and Chinese to suit the language preferences of all students. A survey was conducted after the completion of the video aid, to gather feedback and assess the effectiveness of the video. It was well-received by the students and many positive responses were gathered. Although there were some areas that could be improved on, many students expressed that this video was beneficial to their learning. As such, our video aid served as the answer to the students' problems and would help to make learning a more enjoyable and effective process.
