Description
Summary:Microwave-induced thermal imaging is currently researched on as an alternative imaging modality for cancerous tumour detection. In this project, the motivations and concepts on how thermoacoustic imaging works are presented. Secondly, an experiment to obtain thermoacoustic signals is carried out and results analysed. Thirdly, two simulations using the k-Wave MATLAB toolbox are done. One is based on the experiment and the other to model a tumour embedded in tissue.
