High quality standards of education have always been one of the top priorities for Singapore. Through out the years, Singapore is constantly improving its education curriculums to expand student’s creativities and knowledge with the use of Info-communication Technology (i.e. replacing traditional textbooks with iPads in some schools), which make it effective, convenient, cost efficient and environmental-friendly. Due to this reasons, online assessments has been on a rise for the past few years to provide students with exercises to better prepared them for examinations. However, current online assessments in the markets have limitations in flexibilities and expandability. This project aims to provide a Primary 6 Online Assessment that could generate questions using a sample question template type, which allows a particular type of question to be asked in many various ways. It also allow developer to have the flexibly to edit questions, and expandability to add in new questions type and solutions. The system was developed using Java, JSP, SQL, and HTML with the following platform, Tomcat Server, Eclipse, Mysql Workbench.
