Investigation on Piezoelectric energy harvesting and application

Piezoelectric is capable to serve as a convenient substitute for conventional power grid used for operating various kinds of telemetry, sensors/actuators, micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) as well as other lower energy devices for remote controllers, LED signboards and safety lightings. Nevertheless, in most of the situations the energy produced by piezoelectric material is not enough to provide power to an electrical device directly. Hence, a majority of the research into generating power is targeted on ways of storing the energy until a feasible amount, only then use the power in the intended electrical devices. The aim of this research is to study the feasibility as well as aspects of piezoelectric incorporating into our lives, saving the earth. The report will emphasize on the benefits that piezoelectric will bring to us, the huge potential of generating electricity from piezoelectric in our environment. There will be a feature on the various projects as well as inventions regarding piezoelectric, together with comparing piezoelectric with the other clean energies, such as wind energy and solar energy. Plus, a feature review on the piezoelectric produces by a few corporations, both Singapore as well as other countries.
