Description
Summary:The purpose of this final year report is to develop mathematical representation of parallel stratagems involving the field of game theories studies and to explore the possibilities of applying alternate strategies to games with more realistic scenarios. A series of fundamental theories and basics concepts in game theories studies such as the classical representation of games, types of games, strategies in games and Nash Equilibria will first be reviewed and will be widely applied to the discussion throughout the report. Through research and case studies of most commonly presented games, the author would look into existing representation of game results, analysis the strategies taken by the players and introduce alternate strategies to obtain the optimal outcome or desirable result of the game. Finally, with the new game representation, the new saddle point(s) and the expected value of the game will be discussed. The comparison of existing and new game representation will highlight the difference of how the game is being viewed with the implementation of alternate strategies. The relevant issues and problems which the author will observe during the case studies shall be discussed at the end of this report.
