Nanyang Business School Peter Noble DRNTU::Business Recent studies in the U.S. have shown an increase in the demand for personalized services over the past decade, especially the demand for errand services due to the busy and hectic lifestyles of today. More and more people are finding it increasingly difficult to shave off enough time from work to carry out little errands, e.g. shopping for groceries, doing laundry or sending the car for repairs. Likewise, the Singaporean lifestyle today has progressed much like that ofthe States, and it is the purpose of our study to find out whether this would result in a demand for errand services much like that of the U.S., given the Singaporean lifestyle and consumer behavior. With the results of our study, we will carefully analyse their implications and attempt to determine the feasibility of setting up an errands company providing convenient services to the people of Singapore. The report covers the history of the service organization mentioned in the U.S., and the reason for its existence and continual growth. This is followed by the analysis ofthe research results gathered in Singapore, together with the recommendations for the possible marketing strategies to be employed given the implications uncovered by the results should the company be setup. We hope that through this study, we will raise the awareness of the people towards personalized services in Singapore and provide more insight into this field and industry.
