We are constantly bombarded by a multitude of investment products in the market. This is because the changing global environment demands that banks and insurance companies come up with products to suit new needs. This trend benefits the consumer but with this variety comes its attendant confusion. The objective of this report is to provide a simple guide to the potential investor - what to invest in and why. We aim to give the average investor a few ideas about the products available and their investment opportunities. Our methodology consists of several literature reviews followed by the crux of this report - the case studies. We profile three scenarios of different ages and look at their possible investment options. The issues raised in this report are by no means exhaustive. The variety of investment products in the market is mind-boggling and we can only hope to ease the potential investor’s decision-making process.
