The qualities and behavior identified are especially important in situations when an Eco-Socio leader is faced with challenges from both within the organization and in the business environment. The main objectives are to find out if Eco-Socio leadership qualities encompass other leadership qualities of Transformational and Transactional leadership or if Eco-Socio leadership is made up of a unique set of qualities unobserved in other forms of leaderships. Propositions were made and investigated through the use of a survey questionnaire which aims to explore all possible aspects of leadership within an effective Eco-Socio leader. Two hundred and ninety-eight useful responses were collected. Findings from statistical analysis showed that Singaporean employees perceive Eco-Socio leaders to possess certain transformational and transaction qualities as well as other qualities which are unique to Eco-Socio leaders. This study also offers insights on the managerial implications of our research findings. This is especially relevant to companies already in the green industry, as leaders in these companies can benchmark against the qualities identified, conduct a self-assessment and better improve themselves. For companies which are intending to embark on a green journey, this research can serve as a guide during their recruitment process in recruiting and grooming effective Eco-Socio leaders. To overcome the main limitations faced in this research, it is recommended that probability sampling methods be adopted in future similar studies such that the data collected would be more representative of the Singapore workforce. Future studies could tie up with governmental committees for funding such that incentives could be provided for respondents to participate in the survey. Future studies could examine other factors which might affect an employee’s perception of the qualities and behaviours an Eco-Socio leader should possess. Some examples include the age of the employee or the number of working years accumulated or the industries which they are employed in and so on.
