Description
Summary:This research paper is primarily focused on studying why and how young women in Singapore choose to be in same-sex relationships. This paper aims to provide empirical evidences that can show how the phenomenon of sexuality is socially constructed and how homosexuality is therefore intertwined and influenced by social structures. This case study on lesbian women in Singapore also desires to demystify the ways in which these women process and learn the dynamics of being in a same-sex relationship. Topics such as identity formation, meaning-making, sex and intimacy and discrimination would be raised in an attempt to answer the puzzles aforementioned.
