In this given contemporary time and age, it is difficult to determine whether there is a convergence in the gender division of household labor or a widening, persistent time gap between men and women. This research wishes to understand the similarities and differences in single-income families and dual-income families by looking at the dynamics of the negotiation of domestic labor and childrearing by comparing these two different types of Singaporean middle-class families.
