Description
Summary:Every year, more and more individuals become interested in making their capital work for them rather than leaving it sitting in a standard account at a low rate of return. Most people contemplating entering the financial markets do not have the expertise to act as their own investment advisor; nor do they have the time and resources to monitor the constantly shifting events in the world’s capital markets. In addition, they may also wish to invest only a modest amount of money which would not allow them to have a diversified portfolio. We, as a group of final year Bachelor of Accountancy students, have therefore taken this opportunity to bring all these individuals a convenient and safe way of putting their money into good use and getting value in return. This final year project will explain the workings of unit trusts and the avenues open for the discerning investor.
