Summary: | Computer graphics and vision have attracted much attention in the world of multimedia. One area is in partial auto stereoscopic display with camera-based user tracking. With the integration of this new technique in games, users can perform instructions without the use of controller. With the integration of this new technique in video applications, viewers can watch movies without the need for special glasses or head gear. Hence, users can feel closer towards the virtual world.
The project has successfully created a program on partial auto stereoscopic display with camera-based user tracking with additional features such as a menu page, a selection of 3 Dimensional ("3D") models, an array of background colour and zooming functions. Therefore, this program can be used to detect a user's face and consequently the 3D object would reflect the movement of the user's face by tracking the motion of the user's face.
This report consists of a step-by-step guide to setting up the program as well as raising future research directions.
Successful implementation of this project can be applied in many other applications such as industrial robots, medical devices, gaming, movie and etc. |
