Description
Summary:Huge potential can be found in Wireless Body Sensor Network(WBSN) especially in the areas of research and healthcare. However, WBSN faces problems in energy efficiency and data transmission reliability that obstructed its true potential from being realized and exploited. This project represents the applicability and feasibility of implementing an in-node intelligence and data dissemination framework(IDF) into WBSN to provide energy efficiency and data transmission reliability. The proposed solution, in-node intelligence conducts data processing done at the individual MICAz mote to filter off noise resulting in reduced data transmission. With reduced data transmission, it is speculated that an improvement can be seen in energy efficiency and data transmission reliability. Therefore, experimental phases will be conducted to validate IDF in terms of energy consumption and network data reliability. The objective of this project is not only to show that IDF is feasible in WBSN but also to prove its usefulness and advantages for the future development of WBSN.
