Description
Summary:Searching for medical information online had been increasingly popular. However, results are usually irrelevant or inaccurate. Hence, this project focuses on building an online healthcare search portal, Finder, that aims to provide users with a search engine (CQA service) focusing particularly on health to complement the general search engines that are currently available. In this paper, approaches to building the indexer, exploiting category information of questions improve the performance of CQA service it provides and the design considerations of the web interface are presented. Experiments are carried out on actual CQA data, which are crawled from the health category of CQA website. The preliminary experimental results show that through exploitation of the category information of questions, it is capable of outperforming performance of normal search.
