Xenophobia is the fear of the unknown and an unreasonable hatred towards foreigners and strangers. These anti-immigrant sentiments have been discussed extensively in online forums and social media. Away from cyberspace, anything that seems wrong in this country is directed towards the foreigners and what is perceived as negligence in immigration laws. The majority of the locals would not hesitate to make undesirable comments about the foreigners. Initially one might not have any negative thoughts towards a foreigner. However, with the help of time and exposure to these anti-immigrant sentiments, one could be influenced into feeling the same eventually.
