The project’s title follows the popular term “little red dot” that refers to Singapore’s geographical presence on the world map, and was motivated by my training as a visual communicator and my identity as a Singaporean. The average design practise in Singapore does not usually include typeface design in their scope of service, which could be due to the pace of Singapore’s market but also suggest a growing creative community in its infancy.
