總結:An Active Operator Guidance system (AOG) has been developed under the Norway-Singapore MoU signed in March 2000. The AOG system provides guidance for navigation in heavy seas. This is achieved using software and hardware solutions that can interpret radar images of the sea conditions and processing these to give prevailing parameters such as wave height, frequency and direction. These, together with a database of pre-calculated sea keeping characteristics of the vessel, can be combined to give the response of the vessel with respect to given criteria. The criteria of interest are slamming loads, accelerations at specific locations of the vessel, ship motions, springing, etc. The assessment is then presented on a user-friendly interface to guide the navigator in order to prevent hull and machinery damage as well as safety of personnel.
