Illuminate is a digital board game concept built using modern web technology (such as HTML5 and CSS3) that is played on a touchscreen monitor. The goal of this project is to adapt the traditional board game system with a digital interface, while trying to retain traditional board game elements within the digital environment. Today, many individuals are relying on modern devices such as smart phones and tablets, and most of them use these devices to play games as a primary source of entertainment. While the culture of board games and table top games still do exist, some people are sacrificing the element of physical social human interaction by turning towards pure digital based games that solely rely on using these devices only.
