We are interested in experimenting with the workflow of an unconventional narrative structure. The film uses real interview footage of night-shift workers weaved into our narrative scenes. The decision to feature night-shift workers and the nightscape was a choice made in order to explore a point of view that was less attended to. Shift-work in Singapore is often thought of as low-paying, less ideal and representative of those who live on the edge of the economy. In reality, there are high-paying jobs that also has shifts and also operate at night.
