Absorbing environmental contaminants from the earth is not without its consequences, as the process causes Jade to slowly perish. Witnessing the death of her only remaining companion – her sister – changes Jade. With nothing to lose, she decides to break free from her shackles and escape the plant before her own clock stops ticking.
