These sites focus on identifying something that people find interesting and they create a platform that helps connect these people together and build a community. These websites have corresponding mobile applications which also have a similar interface, resulting in a cohesive user experience for the user. In addition, they integrate seamlessly with social media to ensure content can shared via social media just as easily. However, there is no effective and visually appealing platform that helps users share products with each other and help connect people with interesting deals. The objective of this project is to implement a web application that serves as a platform for users to share and sell products to their peers and friends. This web application will cohesively be able to build an online community of sellers and buyers as well as integrate social media and location based services. This web application is named Deals Interest. The author will work concurrently with another FYP teammate who will develop the mobile application for the site. In this report, the author outlines some of the background research done with respect to this project. The author then documents the various stages of the software development lifecycle, from the requirements analysis, design and development stages all the way to the testing stage and deployment stage. Finally, the author concludes the report with a summary of the work done and outline future recommendations for the project.
