Description
Summary:Foreseeing the integration of technology, art and education, strengthening digital education is a wise choice in response to changes. Considering the benefits brought by technology, The School of Art, Design and Media at NTU and Department of Art and Art History at UNH have set up a collaborative classroom aims to provide a platform for students from different countries to be connected by drawing. Due to the limitation of the current system, it is ineffective in realizing collaboration between students of NTU and UNH. Therefore, this project aims to produce an interactive drawing program which can later be integrated in a website for the usage between both NTU and UNH. The requirements specification and analysis, implementation and testing process of the interactive drawing program are discussed in this report. The proposed system is implemented using java. It enables multiple users to access an identical canvas and multiple users to chat among each other. This is made possible by using Java Socket. At the end of this project, the interactive drawing program has been successfully implemented with the required functions. However there is room for improvement, it is recommended that future enhancement should implement another way of saving the drawing. Also, supplementary features can be implemented to further enhance the users‟ experiences such as more drawing tools and implementation for other operating systems or devices.
