Summary: | Home security is a globally concerned issue. Recently, with the rapid advancement in Information Technology and Wireless Communication technologies, more Home Security systems are developed. People use them as fire alarm, burglar alarm and video surveillance systems.
This project focuses on creating a low cost Embedded System for Home Security. The system is to ensure home or buildings are tightly secured. Visitors will have to be screened before access to the residence is granted.
There are two main significant features of the Embedded System. The first is that it uses Embedded Linux as its operating system; the second is that Raspberry Pi is chosen as the Embedded System. Both features kept the overall cost down yet gave great performance. |
