CMOS buck DC-DC converter
The aim of this project is to construct a circuit design of a buck converter. The design is based on the fundamentals of MOSFET, inductor and capacitor to model a high efficiency regulator where the input voltage is step down. Firstly, it is necessary to understand the overall working mecha...

The design is based on the fundamentals of MOSFET, inductor and capacitor to model a high efficiency regulator where the input voltage is step down. Firstly, it is necessary to understand the overall working mechanics on how does a regulator works and trying out to in terms of idealistic that this design can be related to a practical scenario. Therefore, a profound research pertaining to the basic the components of the buck converter is done and compiled into a bucket list. Following which, a test set is created for each component with regards to their different components ratings, designs and work ability before conjoining these system’s pieces together and running trials within small margin differences. Finally, the individual components are brought together and the results from these finding are compared with an ideal buck regulator to determine its effectiveness.
