Research revealed that varying consequences has resulted from the spread of misinformation in other countries. Singapore, incidentally, is not spared from misinformation judging from the recent false rumours of Lee Kuan Yew’s death spreading on social media. This project would examine how the spread of misinformation can affect different situations that already occurred in Singapore. These situations would be selected based on the severity and relevance of situation, and cross-referenced to both traditional media and social media to identify how the information was relayed. Lastly, postulated effects from the spread of misinformation will be singled out and communicated through the use of graphic design.
