The rapid changing technology has made it difficult for elderly to catch up with it. By 2050, it is estimated that the portion of elderly will be doubled as compared to the working population. Many elderly disconnect with the society as they pick up new skills slower as they aged. iPad has caused astonishment, as it is entertainment on a big screen made mobile and assessable. It is easy to use and can be a tool to encourage elderly back into the technology industry. An iPad application can be created to ease the usage for both children and elderly keeping them closely in touch. However, there will be a limitation of development in this project in terms of exploring better ways in developing the application in the short spare of time. The resources required will be an iPad, a Macbook Air as well as Xcode and Photoshop. Elderly have begun incorporating smart house technology into their daily lives to make living easier. A simple application will ease the usage and increase the frequency of it too. In order to re-engage elderly with the younger generation, this application is made simple. As such, it can help to act as a daily log recording the elderly’s daily activities allowing editing and exporting of these logs or even takes a photo and allows emailing of it to another party. The four in one functions found in the application have made it easier for them to use it at one go.
