Individual pieces of sheet piles are driven and interlocked into the ground to form one continuous section which is mainly used as a retaining wall or a cofferdam. As steel sheet pile walls have been successfully used since a long time ago and is usually for temporary work purposes, its characteristics has many a times been overlooked. Thus, this paper aims to study the characteristic and behaviour of steel sheet piles and in particular, cold-formed steel sheet piles. Cold-formed steel sheet piles like any other type of cold-formed steel, are stamped, rolled and pressed into its desired shape. The steel sheet piles used for this study in particular were subjected to a set of rollers which gradually formed the desired cross section as the steel coils goes through all the roller stations. Steel sheet piles from Oriental Sheet Piling Sdn. Bhd. with cross section named OT18 and OΩ625/650 was studied.
