Some of the forms of renewable energy include wind and solar energy. However, to make the electric energy obtained from renewable sources useful, different types of converter circuits have to be implemented. Looking into solar energy, much research has been conducted on the photovoltaic (PV). The grid integration of the PV has also been investigated. Hence, in this project, the power electronic of the high-frequency link series resonant topology will be studied upon. The DC to AC converter comprises a high-frequency transformer, two active full-bridges and a series resonant tank. Power control can be carried out by the phase shift between the active bridges. Operating at high frequency, the use of zero voltages switching is utilized to reduce the switching losses and improve the efficiency of the circuit. In this project, simulations were carried out to test for the viability and specification of the converter. Hardware of the circuit will also be built if time permits. With the results obtained, the effectiveness of the circuit will be analyzed and discussed.
