Description
Summary:This document aims to look into building wireless sensor networks in tropical areas. The project is split into two folds - the software for data analysis and the hardware of the sensor network itself. The software portion of the project looks into the analysis of the data provided. It creates a GUI (Graphical User Interface) to allow the user to do some statistical analysis of the data. The GUI also allows for real-time tracking of data with sufficient refresh rate to allow quick monitoring of data. These functions are pumped with various options to cater for different type of analysis. The results and pictorial form of the GUI can be found in this document. The hardware portion of the project looks into the makings of the individual devices. The project is targeted with portability in mind, allowing for ease of usage. The project consists of at least 3 setups - namely a base station with two other end devices. This idea will allow it to propagate to multiple setups in the future. The document will also analyze some of the results and findings of the sensor network.
