Summary: | The depletion of natural resources across the globe leads to a demand for the usage of green energy. It is estimated that the growth of renewable resources would increase from 13% to 16% in 2040. [1] The top sort after green energy, solar energy, is achieved by converting sunlight into electricity using photovoltaic. [2] With the gradual depletion of resources, finding alternative solution is the only way to protect Earth and to withstand the continual rising in power consumption by mankind.
This project aims to develop an intelligent wireless network using Wi-Fi in the mircogrid system. With the integration of various sensors, pryanometer and Resistance Thermometer Device (RTD) to measure light intensity and surface temperature, the data is transmitted through Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) networks and is stored in an energy profile database. The wireless model promotes convenience to implement in different places to capture solar energy profile. |
