Description
Summary:Education has become one of the main concerns in this rapid moving technology world. In Singapore especially, the education system has always been the top priority. Singapore is constantly improving its education curriculums to enhance the students’ creativities and knowledge with the latest technology. Most of the assessment books available in the current market are hardcopy. Therefore, the questions are usually limited as it does not have the flexibility of changing the question dynamically. Online assessments are introduced to provide the students with more exercises so as to prepare them for tests and examinations. Its objective is to provide an interesting learning experience to attract the students’ attention into learning. However, current online assessments in the markets may have limitations in flexibilities and expandability. This project aims to provide a Primary 4 Mathematics Online Assessment which has the ability of generating questions randomly using a question template type, which allows a particular type of question to be asked in many various ways. Furthermore, the system should be able to provide solutions as well as grading the student’s final answer. The developer must take account that the system developed should have the flexibility of generating questions and enhance user learning ability. The system was developed using Java, JSP and SQL with the following platforms: Tomcat Server, Eclipse and MySQL Workbench.
