Summary: | In recent years, the development of mobile telecommunication devices is growing growing rapidly. Within a short time, the operating frequency range of mobile devices has been triple, starting from GSM or CDMA (800 ~ 900 MHz) into 3G or WiFi (~ 2.5 GHz). On the other hand, a medical device, such as hearing aids (HA) are moving towards smaller sizes with full wireless features. One of them is the wireless data and sound communication through mobile phones. It makes hearing aids more vulnerable to RF interferences (RFI) or Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI). Since HA is classified as a medical device, it shall comply with the international EMC standard, such as IEC-60118-13 and ANSI C63.19. |
