In the technology-oriented world we live in, there must simply be new materials to help us achieve the next level of breakthroughs. These ever-increasing demands fuel the drive for intense, specialized focus in research for new materials. The boundaries of nanomaterial and nanotechnology are constantly being pushed forward, and graphene emerges as an important milestone. Graphene is a new territory for investors and researchers as scientists are constantly finding new areas of application.
This report documents some of the exceptional qualities of graphene, as well as graphene synthesis methods. Graphene is fabricated from drop- casting and reduction of graphene oxide on silicon substrate, with a few variances to the concentration and heating conditions of graphene oxide.
Numerous experiments and analysis were performed on the samples to determine the most optimum graphene preparation conditions. |
