The headways, commonly known as the time difference between two consecutive buses, are measured in minutes. The headways are different during peak and off-peak hours. For the first few bus stops, the buses of the same service are able to maintain this standard headway. As they get further away, these headways either lengthen or shorten causing irritation to passengers at bus stops. The primary aims of this project are: (a) to measure the variation in the headways at selected bus stops at halfway and three-quarter mark for selected services (b) to study the bus-bunching phenomenon The project would also look into commuters’ satisfaction level, degree of crowdedness in buses as well as commuters behaviour at bus stops. Observations and field studies would be conducted at selected bus stops. The results and observations obtained would be noted in this report.
