Description
Summary:Trade in services has experienced an upward trend and affected the current account of many countries around the world. It has also significantly influenced the on-going debate on the world economy and become the most discussed issue in trade negotiations. The project aims to provide the facts on this trend of increase, both globally and regionally, using original calculations that are based on the statistical data obtained from various official sites. ASEAN is the selected region, and three member states – Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore are the selected countries. The result shows that globally, trade in services will experience a faster rate of increase, but regionally, and based on each specific country, the result will be significantly different.
