Description
Summary:The current generation of cable cars operated by Sentosa faces the problem of high temperature during operation in daytime. Challenge in the project is to take into consideration of the limited space and weight constraint of the potential ventilations system, and as well as the safety requirements for the passengers. The project will study the existing cooling devices available in the market, and the feasibility of implementing them onto the cabin cars – so as to decrease the overall temperature of the cabin. One of the proposals includes the installation of a fin-like structure across the cabin. Based on simulation results, the structure will allow a more equal distribution of wind within the cabin, and thus improving the passengers’ overall comfort level.
