Summary: | Plastic production becomes more popular because of its high productivity and low manufacturing cost. As one of manufacturing methods, injection tools are well developed. Injection moulded plastic parts are among the most complex parts manufactured today. Besides the functional and aesthetic qualities that must be incorporated into the design, the mould designer is frequently confronted with a component design that incorporates a recess or projection which prevents the simple removal of the moulding from the mould. The maturity of 3D solid modeling technology offers opportunities for the automation of injection mould design. |
