Through detailed evaluation and planning, certain modifications to the current design of evaporative coolers were implemented and an experimental prototype two-stage cooling channel was constructed. Subsequently, the cooling unit was tested in order to determine its performance. Parameters such as ambient conditions, air flow rate and temperature of water are some of the variables that will affect the efficiency of the cooler. In addition to that, a theoretical simulation was done and was used to compare with the actual experimental results to verify its reliability. It is recommended that further investigations in this area of scope can carry on in the future so that we can explore greater possibilities for cooling of ambient air.
