Summary:Mobile devices have been increasingly popular nowadays. It is used for various needs, such as communication, personal working assistant, entertainment and etc. As a consequence, several mobile operating systems have also appeared into market to serve enormous needs of mobile devices. One of the most popular mobile operating system is Android operating system. Furthermore, aside for personal use, many industries have now realized the Android operating system capability and its flexibility as an open source to be used within the industrial system. Therefore, this project is to develop Android application for industrial use. The objective of this project is to carry out study about mobile application development on Android platform and to implement those studies to develop Android application with functionality of retrieving, monitoring and modifying the live information of industrial system. The result of this project is in the form of Android application which has functionality in retrieving the content from back-end database. The retrieved content is customized based on the user who retrieves it so that each user will be able to monitor their desired database content. Besides retrieving the desired content for monitoring purpose, the application will also be able to manage the content of the retrieved information. The content management features of the application will be Delete, Update and Insert features. Moreover, the changes made to the retrieved information will then be applied to the back-end database.
