Description
Summary:With the world’s rising energy needs, everyone has addressed this concern over know-how and capitalize on implementing an energy efficient technology. Reducing energy use may result in financial cost saving to the consumers. In addition, consumption of fossil fuel resources will lead to emission of air pollutants which contributes to global warming and climate change. If the peak oil theory proves to be true, and more explorations of viable alternative energy sources are made, the impact could be less hostile to the environment, and protect ozone layer depletion. With effect from January 2005, the consultant team has to submit the Green Mark declaration form to Building and Construction Authority (BCA) for review upon completion of any building construction work. One of the items in the Green Mark submission is energy efficiency. Their intention is to use the most economical way of power usage to achieve the maximum output. Comparison of high tension and low tension power supply consumption in a single user warehouse shall be discussed. This report will also focus on the projects that the author is in-charge of.
