Description
Summary:This thesis describes the development of 4D Slicer for the visualization of dynamic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data so as to facilitate 4D MRI analysis. The study of “Time resolved Magnetic Resonance imaging”. The main aim of my study was to develop a graphical user interface (GUI), 4D slicer which enables clinicians to view 4D MRI data in a user friendly and useful manner. The interface is meant for the study of lung tumor motion in patients who have lung cancer using 4D MRI. The purpose of the study is to increase the efficacy and accuracy of the analysis and eventually leading to better radiotherapy planning. The biggest task has been to facilitate the clinicians to not just view a static two dimensional image but also help them to study the lung and lung tumor motion during the multiple breathing cycles. To address this problem, the GUI was developed to help the clinicians to apprehend the breathing motion using 4D MRI.
