Description
Summary:Due to cost constrains and physical size limitation, many low-end loudspeakers are not able to produce low frequency sounds which is an attribute of a good bass effect [1]. Simply equalizing low frequency audio components is usually undesirable because it may cause overload or damage to the speakers. Virtual Bass System is a psychoacoustic bass enhancement to produce a virtual bass into human auditory system and trick our brain to perceive the bass which is physically absent. Currently, the theory and algorithm of this system is well studied. The aim of this project is to implement the algorithm in a real-time TI DSP board. This work does not require a deep understanding of the virtual bass theory but the skill of programming in the TI DSP environment.
