Description
Summary:Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) is popular and often preferred for multiple access systems due to its potential in achieving high data rate on wireless communications. However the performance is limited by Multiple Access Interference (MAI) caused by simultaneous users. This report focuses on the effects of different spreading codes schemes such as Maximal-length sequences (M-sequences) and Walsh sequences on Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN), Rayleigh and Rician fading models in the suppression of MAI in WCDMA communication systems. Bit Error Rate (BER) performance is simulated and will be used for discussion on how various components of system model suppress MAI.
