This report investigates the compatibility of the Raspberry Pi with existing video libraries. The performance of real-time video streaming from the Raspberry Pi is investigated to prove the Raspberry Pi’s capability to be used as a security system. Quality of the video is important for security. Hence, this report gives an assessment of how the video quality affects the Raspberry Pi. Can the Raspberry Pi support image detection functionalities? In this report, we study how capable the Raspberry Pi can be used to solve video security issues.
