Study and design of IPv6 networks
IPv6 was described in RFC2460 in December 1998 as the successor for IPv4, the current dominant Internet Protocol, and has been an Internet standard since then. However, the concern on IPv6 only started rising few years ago, due to the fact that the world needs more IP addresses to serve human use. T...

The first part of this report step-by-step points out IPv4 limitations, describe elaborately IPv6 new features and benefits while the second part is purely technical, touching deeply several IPv6 transition techniques, including 6to4 and 6RD, the two major methods mentioned. The report also provides detailed appendixes with configuration which was successfully implemented in the laboratory in the effort of simulating real network senario.
