Description
Summary:Active Chilled Beam (ACB) system has been increasingly popular in today’s world. Due to its energy saving potential, the system is used to reduce the energy consumption of Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems as well as their running cost required. Hence, this project aims to explore the potential of the system’s efficiency in different ways. One of the main focuses is to study the geometry of the nozzles used in the ACB systems. It is known that the geometry of the nozzle's exit plane is able to enhance the mixing and entrainment of the air flow that could affect the overall efficiency of the systems. Extensive experiments and data collection will be carried out to gather sufficient evidence and research on the impact of different nozzles on the overall efficiency.
