Summary: | As an open economy with no natural resources, Singapore is vulnerable to rising energy costs which can affect economic competition. It is therefore crucial in taking steps to improve energy efficiency and be more resilient. Essentially, understanding the system performance is needed before any appropriate measures to improve energy efficiency can be made. This is achieved by the integration of load profile
from historical data to help visualise load characteristic. The load profile is then used to develop for future load prediction in determining an optimal dispatch schedule. With an improved energy usage, substantial amount of cost saving can be enjoyed because electricity usage often is the significant element contributing to large industrial firms or buildings' operating cost. It will also effectively contribute to environmental friendliness. |
