Summary:Outsourcing has been a rising trend in recent years due to a highly competitive market caused by globalization as well of shifting of low-end jobs and non-valued added jobs to lower-cost production countries such as China and India. Firms in industrialized, developed and developing countries are able to improve their competitiveness through the multiple benefits of outsourcing, such as freeing up the firm's lean resources to concentrate on their core competencies in order to provide better return of investment to their shareholders, substantial costs savings and reduction in non-core business.
